My areas of specialism are:-

 

Piano and Organ

​

In my music room I have a modern upright piano, as well as a Roland digital instrument that I have for mobile use.

​

I am registered with the ABRSM for piano exams, and have 100% pass rate, with many pupils obtaining merit and distinction marks in their exams. Of course, not all pupils wish to study for exams, and this is perfectly okay. Playing for pleasure is definitely the aim for many of my adult pupils, so I am happy to cater for all ambitions!

Singing and Vocal Studies

​

Singing is where it all started for me, as a chorister at my local church. Over the years I have performed in Cathedrals and on theatre stages.

​

I offer singing tuition in both Classical and Musical Theatre genres, sometimes pupil even crossover between these areas.

​

I use ABRSM for Classical Singing exams, and LCM/UWL for Musical Theatre grades, again with 100% pass rate, and all Musical Theatre students receiving a minimum merit grade in their exams..

​

I also teach Brass instruments including Trumpet, Horn and Trombone

​

As well as practical tutoring, I can also provide tutoring in other areas of music including:-

• Composition

• Songwriting

• Arrangement and Orchestration

All lessons are provided on a one-to-one basis, so you are guaranteed my 100% concentration to help you improve!

Tuition is provided at my home in Whiston, Rotherham where I have a purpose built music studio/teaching room.

 

For parents, I am always happy for you to attend and observe my lessons, and I have a certificate from the NSPCC in Child Protection Awareness. Additionally I hold an Enhanced Disclosure CRB check.
